The park was established in 1982 with joint funding from the UNDP and the Burmese government.
Area
It covers around 1,540 acres, including an 818-acre wildlife park, a 62-acre mini-zoo, and a 660-acre buffer zone.
Wildlife
The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including species of deer (such as Eld's deer, hog deer, and barking deer), rhesus monkeys, pythons, pangolins, and various bird species.
Flora
The park features a diverse range of plant species, including dipterocarps, Lagerstroemia speciosa, teak, and medicinal plants.
Activities
Visitors can enjoy activities like jungle trekking, picnicking, and exploring the mini-zoo. There's also a suspension bridge and beautiful scenery along the Bago River.
Visiting Hours
The park is open daily from 8 AM to 4 PM. Admission is around 2,000 Kyat per person.
