Kuthodaw Pagoda

Kuthodaw Pagoda, often referred to as the "World's Largest Book," is a remarkable Buddhist temple complex located in Mandalay, Myanmar. Completed in 1868, it was commissioned by King Mindon Min as part of his efforts to promote Buddhism and preserve the teachings of the Buddha.

The pagoda is known for its stunning white marble stupa, which stands 57 meters tall. Surrounding the central stupa are 729 smaller stupas, each housing a marble slab inscribed with the Buddhist scriptures known as the Tipitaka. The inscriptions, written in ancient Pali script, are organized in a way that allows for easy reference, making the site not only a religious monument but also an important center for learning.
